Pendragons

TA DA!

Project: Pendragon Socks
Pattern: Pendragon Socks by Erica Lueder
Yarn: Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino
Needles: 2.75

Musings:

They're very fiddly, with all those two stitch twisted cables. And cashmerino isn't a good choice for a sock such as this because 's' twist in the yarn means that two symmetrical sides of a pattern like this are impossible. (Here's why, if you're interested). I probably should have gone with a normal plied yarn like wollmeise or patonyle.

But I like the colour, the yarn is quite thick and so they're a springy and warm pair of socks.

The very best thing about them is that they're finished. And it's still March!

You never know, the productivity of this month might redeem itself yet.

i dont care at all about the symmetry i think they are amazing! a gorgeous colour and beautifully finished as always. does this mean you mastered the two at a time??

As usual Ailsa you amuse me and leave me giggling with your posts ! ..Ta Da ! ;D

Your socks are lovely dovely it will be quite interesting to see how that yarn holds up as socks. It's awfully soft yarn nice for footsie's but don't know what shoes will do to them ?

Regardless, real pretty colour and great pattern knitted and blocked to perfection ! ..how am I not surprised ;D

Love those socks. Especially the color. The cables are lovely even if they were a bit fiddly.

the first thing I noticed about those was the fabric. The fabric is astoundingly beautiful.
