The Stitches and Craft Fair was on at Darling Harbour last weekend, and once again, Random Knits and I helped promote the gentle art of knitting by manning the stand for the NSW knitters guild for a few hours.
A new exhibitor caught my eye - I'd been all excited about it when I saw it on 1funkyknitwit's blog, and I wasn't disappointed by the display. Unfortunately, the website doesn't really show the hoogliness of this stuff. It's great! It's called ZPAGETTI, and it's sold exclusively in Australia by a company called Hoooked. Sustainable, fashionable, fun - what's not to like?
I liked it so much in fact, that even though I had a fall when I was running the other day and had raw and stinging gravel rash on both my palms, I still managed to hoook up a circular cushion for the couch during the week.
It's murder on your hands, but sexy on the couch.
Project
Zpagetti Cushion
Pattern: Crochet an increasing circle until it's big enough,
(stitch used: double crochet in the back loop)
Go straight for a while.
Crochet a decreasing circle till you get to the middle.
Put your cushion insert in before the hole gets too small.
