I tried to get
this apartment for our four nights in Paris.
But unfortunately it was booked, and they really prefer full week reservations.
Oh well. It was a good dream while it lasted.
Having settled on an apartment somewhat inferior in decor but massively lower in price, I plan on spending the difference on yarn, saucisson and champagne!

good lord. could it get any more french provincial, hehe. more to spend at la droguerie anyway.
probably for the best, really!
I do hope you'll have a bottle (or two) of champagne for me!
All the knick knacks would drive me mad and I would be perpetually stressing about breaking something! Better to spend the money on champagne and yarn, pensez-moi!
I'm with your other commenters - more cash for other wonderful things. Do visit Le Bon Marche - such a great department store with a very interesting yarn and haberdashery department.
Hey, any apartment that is French, and not hostel or hotel is great, though this one is sweet. We stayed in one in Montemarte, and it was lovely - plus it had famous artist connections...
Wow, its so soon before you go! Apartments are so good for enjoying the wonderful food of Paris - we like to eat out for lunch (cheaper and Paris restaurants are not that keen on 6pm reservations for our little people), and then have lovely snacks for dinner. Bread, sausage, cheese, some lovely fruit, and champagne... Feeling v jealous of you.
It's a pity you can't get that apartment but now you have more yarn money. Have a great trip.
