I didn't really go to the carribean
I entered a few things in the Royal Easter Show this year, and when the entry paperwork came, I found I had not started one of the items I was entering. So I had to get a wriggle on, and I chose to withdraw from internet society on a knitting sabbatical.
I knitted another of Jae's Pretty as a Peacock shawls. That makes three of these that I've made now; the test knit of the sample for the leaflet, the fuschia zephyr one, and now this one in Madeline Tosh Pure Silk Lace in the strangely named Ceperly's Folly colourway.
(This picture needs a crop, but it's already late enough and I just want to get some knitting done tonight.)
It's ready for the Royal Easter Show.
And here's the sock I received in the sock roulette swap. Nice isn't it? So beatifully knit too .. Thanks again Mandy.
So now, to finish Autumn Rose. Have you seen Donna's finished one? Wow.

that is gorgeous Ailsa - but of course!! Love the colour, love the size, just wonderful. Hope they hang it nicely.
And the sock - very nice!
Superb. The sabbatical produced amazing results.
The shawl is exquisite, Ailsa, The pattern lovely, the yarn delicate and the colour perfect. I wish you very good fortune for the Show.
That is so beautiful. I love the way it drapes.
Good luck with the show! (So what do you call a flock of peacocks? :)
I think I may have just.. kinda.. dribbled all over my keyboard.
Gorgeous!
Stunning. The colour is perfect. The photo is spectacular almost looking like it is floating on air. Dreamy!
Hello, I am the person who really truly believed Ailsa was off on a lovely holday. I wished her such a nice time that she had to explain to me, slowly and carefully, that she was busy knitting!! It was worth every second.
How beautiful!!!
how on earth do you get through your lace projects (well all your projects really) so quickly.
that shawl is stunning! but then again i expect nothing less from the lace knitting needles of ms knitabulous. in fact i think it is your best rendition of that shawl yet!
i've always loved your peacock shawls and you've now knitted a third one??? WOW!!!
It looks incredible. And such speedy knitting. Very impressed.
Wow - the shawl is really ... gorgeous & you knitted it in such a short time. It would have taken me ages. Good luck on the show.
