Good Vibrations
Today was MissFee's 40th birthday. Now I don't know Fee that well, but it is a truth universally acknowledged that a single long night of knitting and talking and too much to drink at knitting camp is enough to bind a new friendship very fast - both in strength and time.
I was honoured to be invited, delighted by her gorgeous house, the food was wonderful and the company grand.
There was so much positivity, warmth and general good vibrations going on today that I came to the jubilant realisation that the knitting internet community, and all the face-to-face gatherings that stem from it, have enriched my life in a way that I never thought possible. I am lucky to have found it.
I didn't take many pictures, I wish I had have taken more, but I did have a delightful afternoon nonetheless.
The gregarious and devilishly handsome Lee commissioned me to dye Fee some yarn. I wanted to make it something special and a little luxurious. I call it The Knitabulous Trilogy; a skein of merino sock, a skein of 50/50 wool/silk fingering and a skein of silk lace - all in the same colours, but because the fibres take the dye differently, each has a depth and shade of it's own. I can't wait to do more.

Just a terrific day!!
Thank you so much for the gorgeous yarn. I love the way the colour changes with the different yarns - I was plotting and planning last night what to knit with the various balls.
I am so happy you were able to come - and it has been a delight and an honour to get to know you too.
I love the colors of your Trilogy - gorgeous, gorgeous!
