I would like to be able to say 'out with the old and in with the new' but I haven't been able to complete either the sock blanket nor the autumn arbor yet.
What I did find myself recently in need of is some instant knitting gratification. Something tangible to show for myself, not just five more centimetres of a 170cm scarf, or a few tiny mitred squares from a giant four foot square blanket.
And so, I began a worsted weight project. One night to do one sleeve - now that's what I'm talking about!
I've been talking about which project to use for my soft worsted 3 ply haven't I? I finally went for the 'sleeve as swatch' strategy on a worsted version of Norah Gaughan's Assemblage - it's a keeper.
And, for those knit nights and car waits and little opportunities where only the garter stitch will do.
No details on this project, because, you won't beleive this, I'm going to give it away when it's finished. See, knitabulous does have a heart.

I've been very tempted by the 'Assemblage' cardigan. I'm looking forward to seeing yours once it's completed. But wow - what quick knitting - even for worsted.
That gorgeous sleeve in a night??
Absolutely fabulous!!!
Love the look of both of these projects! Wish I could knit a sleeve in a night...I'm such a slow knitter!
oh that colinette is a different colour again on the screen! so yummy, all of it.
You are superquick! I've eyed off Assemblage for a while, and will love to see it on you.
While I'm at it, are the yarn shops in Bowral worth a stop?
It all looks so lovely. I do love that last project - the colours are different again!
Pretty pretty!
I love that sleeve.
