Our Christmas Table

As usual it's usually a work in progress, I add bits and take bits away during the holiday period - right now I'm thinking about adding some paper lanterns from the ceiling.

Some of you may remember that I bought the tablecloth in Paris in October at Le Bon Marche - it was an indulgence to say the least - but I really love it and have used it a few times already. Unironed charcoal linen, what's not to like about that?

The ornaments were all reduced in Myer, I just love the silver partridges. They only had a few left when I was there, and I bought all of them, but I wish I had more.

My favourite thing though, is the wreath I made from paper doilies. Using this tutorial (I've linked to the tutorial page - you'll die of love over there and don't worry, I'll wait), I whipped it up in minutes. Isn't this a great idea for a kid's Cristmas craft?

I'm really excited about seeing all the Christmas preparations on the blogs right now - especially the freezing cold snap in the US - can you imagine living somewhere that ICES OVER in winter? I just cannot imagine it. It sounds so exciting and glamourous to me. I imagine it would look like this:

Now for the food planning. What are you eating at Christmas?
