It's an orange based red with some nice dark shadows to tone it down and make it more wearable. A mature kind of colour, not like me at all!
Two skeins of FiftyFifty in the shop.
There's a few more going in there today too, including a garments worth of FiftyFifty in a gorgeous frost grey in matching dyelot, a warm brown sock yarn and a very interesting dappled mocha silk lace.
At long last I think the weather has turned - the beautiful autumn weather is my favourite time of the year - it's been so hot this summer - such a blessed releif.
Tooth update: root canal next Wednesday. On strong antibiotics to settle the infection down until then. Of course, they went straight to my stomach. Not a well kntiabulous!

I hope the antibiotics work quickly for you Ailsa. My sister has had 2 root canals done both on opposite sides of her mouth, and she had an infection but never noticed, until a part of her tooth broke off! I have to say that lava yarn is just gorgeous, and so are those other colors too!

But I am well stocked with knitabulous yarn right now and am going to back away slowly and pretend I didn't see it.
Two 'pillars' have broken of my teeth, but the dentist said it is Old Age!!!!
Hope the antibiotics are less horrid soon.
Root canals are not painful, just irritating because you have to keep going back. Hope the stomach settles.

Gah! completely missed this update. Which is probably a good thing, as I do have quite a stash...
Sorry to hear about the root canal and icky tummy, hope it goes well next week.
After next week or maybe a few days after your root canal you will be feeling really good again. Root canal is a pain to have done, very time consuming and hard to keep your mouth open for so long in one spot.
