Don't lose your head



Not one of the British Museum's conventional sculpture classifications, but one I found quite amusing anyway.

















(One of these is actually from the Louvre. Do you know which one?)

I'm home now, but I'm posting in denial for a week or so. Hope you don't mind ...

The second one! Nike of Samathrace? I loved that sculpture... I thought it better than Milo's Venus.

Don't you love how they have the little signs saying "Head in Athens". Cracked me up

It's the second one, "Winged Victory". One of my favourite pieces in the Louvre.

Glad to see you home again. It must have been amazing!
